Synopsis: At 3:00 PM today, the eye of Typhoon "Gorio" (Nesat) was estimated based on all available data at 475 km Northeast of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan or 320 km East of Basco, Batanes (20.5°N 125.0°E) with maximum sustained winds of 120 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 145 km/h. It is forecast to move Northwest at 15 km/h. Southwest Monsoon affecting Luzon.

MAX WINDS/ GUSTINESS : 120 KM/H / 145 KM/H MAX WINDS/ GUSTINESS :  40 KM/H / 50 KM/H
FORECAST MOVEMENT : SOUTHWEST AT 25 KM/H   FORECAST MOVEMENT : ALMOST STATIONARY
DISTANCE : 2,445 km EAST NORTHEAST OF BASCO, BATANES DISTANCE : 490 km WEST NORTHWEST OF LAOAG CITY, ILOCOS NORTE

FORECAST: Stormy weather will be experienced over Batanes Group of Islands. Rains with Gusty winds will prevail over Babuyan Group of Islands. Monsoon rains which may trigger flashfloods and landslides is expected over Metro Manila and the regions of Ilocos, Cordillera, Central Luzon, CALABARZON and Mimaropa. Cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms will be experienced over the rest of Luzon. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorm will prevail over the rest of the country.

                 Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest will prevail over Luzon and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be moderate to occasionally strong coming from the southwest with moderate to occasionally rough seas.
