At 10:00 AM today, the  Low Pressure Area (LPA)  was estimated based on all available data at 495  km East of Infanta, Quezon(15.3 °N, 126.2 °E).  This LPA may  develop into a Tropical Depression in the next 36 hours  and will be named "ENTENG".

Rainfall Forecast

Today, the  Southwest Monsoon  will bring  monsoon rains over MIMAROPA and Western Visayas. Scattered light to moderate with at times heavy rains will prevail over Bicol Region, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Davao Region, and the rest of Visayas.

Tomorrow, monsoon rains will prevail over Metro Manila, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, and MIMAROPA. Light to moderate with at times heavy rains will be experienced over Western Visayas and the rest of Luzon.

Flooding and rain-induced landslide may occur during heavy or prolonged rainfall especially in areas that are highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards.  The public and  local disaster risk reduction and management offices  concerned are advised to monitor the Rainfall/Thunderstorm Advisories and Heavy Rainfall Warnings  from PAGASA Regional Services Divisions and take  appropriate measures.

 The next update on this weather disturbance will be incorporated in the Public Weather Forecast at 4:00 PM today and 4:00 AM tomorrow.  

The next weather advisory will be issued at 11:00 AM tomorrow.


It has come to the attention of the Office of the Administrator of PAGASA that a certain person has been using the name of Dr. Vicente B. Malano to solicit money from the contractors of PAGASA.

Dr. Malano wishes to inform the public that he has not authorized anyone to solicit money on his behalf and to warn everyone against dealing with unscrupulous activities of certain individuals.
