Weather Advisory No. 1

FOR:Low Pressure Area (formerly Tropical Depression "CHEDENG")
ISSUED AT: 11:00 AM 2019 March 19

 

At 10:00 AM today, the Low Pressure Area (formerly Tropical Depression "CHEDENG") was estimated based on all available data in the vicinity of Lake Sebu, South Cotabato (6.3 °N, 124.4 °E).  This weather disturbance will continue bringing  scattered  moderate to heavy rains over Zamboanga Peninsula, Bangsamoro, North Cotabato, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur and Davao City. Meanwhile light to moderate rains may be experienced over the rest of Mindanao and portions of Central Visayas and Leyte Provinces.

The disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned and residents in these areas, especially those identified to be at high risk of flooding or landslides, are advised to take appropriate actions and continue monitoring for updates, including the Heavy Rainfall Warnings and Thunderstorm Advisories of the PAGASA Regional Services Divisions.

Sea travel is not advised, especially for those using small seacraft, over the eastern seaboard of Visayas and the eastern and southern seaboards of Mindanao.

The next update on this weather disturbance will be incorporated in the 24-Hour Public Weather Forecast to be issued at 4:00 PM today and 4:00 AM tomorrow.

Dr. Malano wishes to inform the public that he has not authorized anyone to solicit money on his behalf and to warn everyone against dealing with unscrupulous activities of certain individuals.
