WEEKLY WEATHER OUTLOOK

11   - 18 OCTOBER 2019

 

THE TROUGH OF THE TYPHOON  (INTERNATIONAL NAME  "HAGIBIS") OUTSIDE THE PHILIPPINE AREA OF RESPONSIBILITYM (PAR)  WILL BRING CLOUDY SKIES  AND SCATTERED RAINSHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER CARAGA, NORTHERN MINDANAO AND DAVAO REGION. THE REST OF THE COUNTRY WILL HAVE PARTLY CLOUDY TO CLOUDY SKIES WITH ISOLATED RAINSHOWERS OR THUNDERSTORMS. THIS WEATHER SCENARIO WILL PERSIST UNTIL TOMORROW (OCTOBER 12).

BY SUNDAY (OCTOBER 13), NORTHERLY TO NORTHEASTERLY SURFACE WINDFLOW WILL PREVAIL OVER LUZON AND VISAYAS.  THE WHOLE  COUNTRY  WILL HAVE PARTLY CLOUDY TO CLOUDY WITH CHANCES OF ISOLATED RAINSHOWES OR THUNDERSTORMS IN THE AFTERNOON OR EVENING.

BY MONDAY  UNTIL  WEDNESDAY  (OCTOBER 14 - 16), THE PROVINCES OF  BATANES, APAYAO AND CAGAYAN  WILL EXPERIENCE  CLOUDY SKIES WITH  LIGHT RAINS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS DUE TO A SUDDEN SURGE OF NORTHEASTERLY SURFACE WINDFLOW OVER THE EXTREME NORTHEN LUZON AREA.  THE  REST OF THE  COUNTRY WILL  HAVE  GENERALLY FAIR WEATHER CONDITIONS APART FROM SOME ISOLATED RAINSHOWERS OR THUNDERSTORMS.  FORMATION OF A  LOW PRESSURE  AREA  EAST OF THE SOUTHERN LUZON-VISAYAS IS POSSIBLE ON WEDNESDAY.  

BY  THURSDAY  AND FRIDAY  (OCTOBER 17 & 18), THE  NORTHEASTERLY SURFACE WINDFLOW  WILL TEMPORARILY WEAKEN WHILE THE AFOREMENTIONED  LPA  WILL MOVE CLOSER TOWARDS THE EASTERN SECTION OF SOUTHERN LUZON. CLOUDY WITH RAINSHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL PREVAIL OVER THE BICOL REGION WHILE THE REST OF THE COUNTRY  WILL HAVE PARTLY CLOUDY TO CLOUDY WITH CHANCES OF ISOLATED RAINSHOWES OR THUNDERSTORMS IN THE AFTERNOON OR EVENING.  

NO TROPICAL CYCLONE IS EXPECTED. HOWEVER, THIS WEATHER OUTLOOK WILL BE UPDATED IF SIGNIFICANT CHANGES IN THE WEATHER CONDITION OCCUR.
